Located in Northern California, the Joby Aviation team has been steadily working toward our goal of providing safe, affordable, fully electric air transportation that is accessible to everyone. Imagine an air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly and quickly carries you over the congestion below, giving you back that time you’d otherwise spend sitting in traffic. Technology has advanced to the point where designing and operating an all-electric aircraft is completely viable. Our team has been discreetly designing and flight testing this vehicle and is looking for talented individuals to see it through certification and high rate production.


Working as a Composites Team Assistant in our Marina location, you will be responsible for establishing office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, assigning and monitoring clerical functions while facilitating the requests from the lead(s) personnel on the team.


  • Responsible for routine administrative functionality in a variety of composite team activities, including but not limited to; upgrading office space to productive efficient work space
  • Work assigned help tickets to completion
  • Create and maintain training records filing system 
  • Develop an efficient invoice filing system that the entire department can use to keep track of current and archived invoices, while also reviewing all invoices for accuracy
  • Keep the departmental printers and copiers operating properly and alert management when repair is required
  • Running daily errands as needed, possibly off site
  • Stocking food items in common break areas, coordinating food services for building
  • Coordinating health safety checks for team personnel
  • Assist with new hire needs


  • 5+ years experience working in an administrative function
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service
  • Working experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Reliable and professional with proven track record of good attendance
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds


  • General working knowledge of complex manufacturing
  • Savvy in basic IT or windows based software
  • General working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software. (ERP)
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in Business or Business Administration preferred
