Overview

Joby is looking for an experienced Human Resources Program Manager to implement and manage critical HR projects and initiatives, working side by side with the Head of People and the People Leadership team . Resourceful, tech-savvy and fully comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing start-up environment, the HR Program Manager is a critical part of the overall People team as it supports Joby’s goal of launching air service in 2025. This role will be based in our Santa Cruz, CA location.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of People in the day-to-day operation of the People Department
  • Identify and lead projects to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the People Department
  • Partner with Finance regarding total department budgets, creating PRs, reporting actuals, managing new items within the budget
  • Drive alignment and coordination across the pillars of the People team (i.e. Talent Development, Recruiting, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, etc)
  • Prepare and execute communications for various internal and external stakeholder audiences
  • Develop, maintain, analyze and produce metrics related to plans 
  • Act as a human resources subject matter expert in designing programs and solutions for employees

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, program management, coordination or similar work
  • Ability to resolve escalated issues and problems quickly, efficiently, and independently
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to multitask, prioritize and follow through on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations for an executive audience 
  • Intermediate to Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft company wide notifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Desired

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting
  • Experience with task management tools including Asana and Jira
  • Experience with data visualization
  • Experience in a high growth company or start-up environment
  • Understanding of human resources laws, best practices and processes
  • Knowledge of the human resources function and experience in one or more of the practice areas (recruiting, compensation, benefits, systems, etc)
  • PMP certification

 

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $110,600 - $178,200/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
