Overview

Joby is growing rapidly and we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior People Systems Analyst to join our People team. You will work closely with various teams, including the People, Information Technology, Workforce Development, Legal, and Finance & Accounting teams, as the subject matter expert for our human resources information systems.  Your expertise will enable Joby to maintain a high level of data security and integrity, which is vital as we continue to grow our exceptional team. This position can be performed from our Santa Cruz, San Carlos, or Marina offices, with an expectation of 3 on-site days per week. 

 

The Senior People Systems Analyst is here to help to advance our people technology while ensuring the accuracy and security of our team member's records. They will select and implement HR technology, oversee our data collection and storage practices, provide superuser support for our human resources systems, and conduct periodic audits to ensure secure and accurate people data. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with leading large projects involving several stakeholders, HRIS selection and implementation, data feeds and imports, integrations across multiple platforms, data audits, and exposure to core human resources software, such as payroll processing and applicant tracking systems. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the proper and effective operation of our HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all HR system enhancements or modifications, such as the implementation of new modules or building a data feed between systems
  • Enforce data integrity and data security through periodic audits of data quality, data feeds, and user permissions
  • Oversee our data collection and storage practices
  • Perform regular and ad hoc reporting
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to HR system users
  • Ensure all HR systems are compliant with data protection laws
  • Oversee the training and support of users on new and existing HR systems.
  • Lead our HRIS selection and implementation

Required

  • 8 years of work experience using HR systems
  • 3 years work experience in a dedicated HR Systems or Reporting role
  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in HRIS selection and implementation
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Incredible attention to detail and ability to proofread your own work
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. sumifs, nested if statements, index/match, xlookup,...)
  • Fundamental knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to think systematically. You understand the interdependencies and downstream impacts of your work.

Desired

  • Business Intelligence tool experience (Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, etc.)
  • BS in a relevant field, such as Human Resources, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
  • Experience using ADP, Pave, iCIMS and/or Gem

EEO

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $110,400 - $175,600/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
