Overview

As an integral member of our software team, you will play a leading role in bringing the production of our eVTOL to Industry 4.0. You will be responsible for conception and development of services interacting with everything from large production machines to users and everything in between, driving automation and coherence to existing regulations in this new type of industry. With your development skills, you will drive the integration of our production machines and the connection to all related production data, significantly advancing automation to the greatest extent possible.

Responsibilities

  • Developing the front end for various services in our manufacturing environment
  • Developing the functions required in the front end for an optimal user experience
  • Creating and further developing the user interface together with UI/UX engineering
  • Optimization of the existing algorithms to increase the performance
  • Optimal integration of mobile devices
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to determine and coordinate requirements and functions
  • Collaboration with external providers to determine optimal strategies and system stability

Required

  • S in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years Industry Experience. An advanced degree and 3+ years’ experience will also be considered.
  • Feedback-oriented work experience (direct (internal) customer contact)
  • Experience in working with complex projects and agile working methods

Desired

  • Advanced proficiency with React or similar packages
  • Working proficiency with JavaScript, Typescript and HTML
  • Working proficiency with state-of-the-art Front End testing libraries
  • Working proficiency with working with RESTful web services
  • Confident handling of GitHub-based CI/CD
  • Feedback-oriented work attitude
  • Experience in working in independently in international teams
  • Ideally, experience in the production sector

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay, bonus and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $121,800 - $191,200/year. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
