We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

Overview

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling our workforce during a pivotal stage of innovation and growth. This role will work closely with aviation operations, safety team, engineers, and executives to identify hiring needs and bring in top-tier talent.

Responsibilities

  • Scale Joby's rapidly growing global employee base
  • Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs and forecast hiring demands
  • Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy, process, and team-focused culture
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations
  • Create and post accurate, compelling technical job descriptions
  • Source and screen candidates for a variety of roles, with an emphasis on aviation, operations, and safety
  • Interview candidates using structured methodologies, including behavioral and technical assessments
  • Provide regular updates on recruiting metrics, including pipeline health and time-to-fill
  • Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
  • Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline activity, and hiring trends
  • Represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups

Required

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field
  • Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, particularly in aviation or aerospace
  • Ability to understand and explain positions related to various aviation and safety roles
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency

Desired

  • Experience with iCIMS ATS system
  • Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $118,200-$157,300/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
