You will be responsible for designing verification systems for the flight control system, including tools and methods to be used during system verification. You will gain a thorough understanding of the software and control architecture, and you will work with engineers on the flight control systems team and engineers on the teams responsible for related systems to achieve complete test coverage and address any findings that arise during the verification process. In addition to on-demand verification systems, you will create automated verification systems that will ingest measurements from flight test and other sources of data from other test platforms. You will be responsible for authoring reports covering this material. You will work with other systems engineers to author and maintain requirements, host informal and formal engineering reviews, and define the requirements-based engineering process. You will be working closely with the flight test team, involved in the mission planning, scenario simulation, and in-person support for sensitive missions.
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $108,000 - $144,000/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
