As a driving force behind standardizing, documenting, and supporting training activities across multiple safety functions, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge to safely build, maintain, and operate the future of air transportation. The Safety Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment.
Ensure that team members are current and compliant with safety training requirements
Manage migration/usage of training technology and record-keeping systems
Coordinate the development of safety training curricula based on existing compliance regulations, work instructions, SOPs, and training content
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including subject matter experts, engineers, and production leaders, to incorporate practical, hands-on experiences into safety training programs.
Support the development of engaging instructional materials to be delivered both online and in person
Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment for safety training
Continuously assess the effectiveness of safety training programs and make recommendations to address evolving industry requirements and feedback from trainees.
Support the design and delivery of safety-specific onboarding and new-hire training
3+ years of experience executing against and/or developing manufacturing work instructions (MWIs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and/or other technical documentation
Experience designing, implementing, enhancing, and/or delivering safety training programs in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels
Effective organizational skills to manage training schedules, materials, records, and documentation
Experience managing successful projects from inception to completion
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and/or other training software
Strong instructional and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and in an engaging manner
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $82,700 - $110,300/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
