Responsibilities

  • Operate the antenna array during flight tests
  • Record detailed notes & test points during flight tests
  • Participate in flight test briefings to understand and accurately conduct the test
  • Participate in experimental flight testing as a ground crew member
  • Perform other tasks associated with operation of flight test aircraft which include ground operations, preflight items, cleaning, and organizing
  • Perform other administrative tasks for the flight test department
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Track record of work experience demonstrating timeliness and reliability
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes
  • Ability to successfully complete training applicable to the job
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues
  • Ability to work on a team and be able to work extended hours and travel as required
  • Read and speak English proficiently
  • Vision corrected to 20/20 or better
  • Ability to operate the antenna array including standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions

Desired

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in aviation
  • Experience in assembly, troubleshooting & repair of electric or mechanical systems

 

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is  $28-$41/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
