Joby Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

Overview

As the Dynamics 365 F&O Data Analyst at Joby Aviation, you will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and optimal function of our core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Initially focused on rapid support, your mission will be to strategically evolve the system by driving down recurring support issues through automation and process refinement. You will then leverage your analytical skills to quantify system usage, user behavior, and data trends to recommend high-impact system changes, ultimately enabling Joby to achieve unprecedented production scales. This role offers the opportunity for growth by expanding operational support and data analysis responsibilities across other critical integrated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 operational support for Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance & Operations), rapidly resolving functional and technical issues impacting business users across Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
  • Analyze and quantify user support tickets and system data to identify root causes and recurring themes that degrade the user experience or business continuity.
  • Recommend and implement low-code/no-code automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate, simple configurations) to resolve recurring support issues and reduce the overall system support load.
  • Quantify user adoption, behavior, and process performance within D365 F&O using tools like Power BI to provide data-driven recommendations for process and configuration enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business process owners (e.g., Supply Chain, Manufacturing) to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable system requirements and functional designs within the ERP.
  • Manage the configuration, testing, and deployment of minor enhancements and bug fixes within the D365 F&O environment to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), user training materials, and reporting definitions.
  • Develop the expertise to provide initial support and triage for integrated systems, fostering cross-system operational excellence and enabling future growth opportunities.

Required

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 3 years of proven experience providing functional support and configuration within a large-scale ERP system, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing large datasets and reporting on user behavior, system performance, or business process trends using tools like Power BI, SQL, or comparable reporting technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to diagnose issues across integrated modules (e.g., General Ledger, Inventory, Production Control).
  • Proactive, self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

Desired

  • Certification or deep functional knowledge in at least one key D365 F&O module (e.g., Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance).
  • Experience utilizing Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) for process automation or support reduction.
  • Familiarity with systems integration concepts and experience supporting systems integrated with ERP (e.g., MES, PLM, or Quality systems).
  • Familiarity with Data Bricks for large-scale data processing and analytics.
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, or a regulated industry.
