Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.
As a Senior Configuration Specialist, you are responsible to maintain the integrity of the aircraft configuration, and demonstrate compliance to a variety of FAA rules, guidance documents, and industry standards.
You will also contribute to generating business requirements and standard operating procedures as Joby transitions from building a small number of prototype aircraft to manufacturing many FAA conformed aircraft.
In this role, you will be working with multiple teams, such as Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing and Quality, to ensure the integrity of engineering data from release to production. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Note that this role is located in Northern California, remote is not available.
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $89,900 - $157,400/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
