Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Composite Hand Lamination Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing composite layup operations to manufacture high-quality composite parts. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre-preg ply placement on open face tooling, ply orientation and material consolidation techniques. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination. 
  • Prepare and organize composite materials in preparation for lamination. 
  • Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using techniques like hand layup or automated processes. 
  • Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation is achieved. 
  • Proficiency in vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup operations. 
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications. 
  • Basic use of computers for documentation and record-keeping purposes. 

Required

 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 
  • Reliable, punctual and have dependable transportation. 
  • Able to verbally communicate read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. 
  • Basic knowledge of computers for documentation and record-keeping purposes. 
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and inspection equipment. 
  • Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs aided or unaided.
  • Able to become certified to wear a respirator. 
  • Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials. 

Desired

The target base pay for this position is $17-$25/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
