The Facilities Business Systems Architect is responsible for designing and evolving the digital systems, data structures, and automation frameworks that support Facilities Development, Operations, and Physical Security. The role focuses on architecting scalable operational systems that connect project execution, financial planning, asset management, and portfolio reporting into a unified data environment.
• Architect and maintain scalable business systems supporting capital projects, facilities operations, vendor management, and portfolio reporting.
• Design and optimize structured workflows, dashboards, automation logic, and reporting environments primarily within Smartsheet and connected platforms.
• Establish data models, system structures, and governance standards that ensure consistent, reliable operational data.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with automated workflows and structured data environments.
• Design reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide leadership with clear operational and financial visibility.
• Drive exploration and adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation that improve forecasting, analysis, and operational insight.
• Partner with Facilities leadership, Finance, Operations, and IT to translate operational requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Improve interoperability between Facilities systems and enterprise platforms through integrations, connectors, or APIs.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Facilities systems architecture and automation strategy.
• Maintain documentation, standards, and best practices that support sustainable system usage and data quality.
• Provide training and guidance to users to ensure successful adoption of systems and workflows.
• 6-8 years designing or managing business systems, workflow automation platforms, or operational data environments.
• Advanced experience building structured systems in Smartsheet or similar workflow platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, system architecture, and operational reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to translate operational requirements into scalable digital systems.
• Excellent analytical and cross-functional communication skills.
• Smartsheet certification or advanced platform expertise.
• Experience with automation or integration tools (Power Automate, Zapier, Make, APIs, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted automation, analytics, or operational forecasting.
• Experience supporting Facilities, Operations, or capital project environments.
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $129,500 - $175,000/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
