Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.
The Certification Project Engineer, International will be a key position supporting validation and certification projects with International Civil Aviation Authorities. This position will focus on both strategic and tactical aspects of international projects and will be responsible for driving project execution through close coordination with the rest of the Airworthiness Engineering Team and other stakeholder departments. While the candidate will start as an individual contributor, coordinating across functional adjacencies, this position may grow to include direct reports, depending on the size and scope of the international projects. This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan.
The Certification Project Engineer, International will focus their time primarily on aircraft certification and airworthiness responsibilities and secondarily on supporting certification related activities for flight operations, pilots, mechanics, and safety management.
