Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineering intern to join our Program Management team for the summer focusing on Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI). You will work alongside experienced design engineers, flight test engineers, instrumentation specialists, and program managers supporting the development and delivery of instrumentation and test systems used in experimental and certification flight test campaigns. This is a hands-on role that spans hardware integration, data systems, and cross-functional coordination — giving you broad exposure to what it takes to bring an aircraft from design to first flight and beyond.
Heading into junior or senior year of undergraduate degree or above
The pay range for undergraduate interns, which includes junior to senior level students, is $22-$3/hour. The pay range for graduate interns with a Bachelor's, Master's, and/or Ph.D. degree in progress or completed is $5,550-$7,800/month.
