Company Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.

You will work directly with flight hardware in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential. • Use of software tools including Microsoft Office, Jira, Slack, and CAD applications for documentation, task tracking, and design review
  • Collaboration with engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
  • Clear communication of status, needs, and concerns to leadership and internal customers

  • Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment

Desired

  • Familiarity with data acquisition devices and sensors (thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers)
  • Experience with basic electronics tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Familiarity with machine shop equipment (mill, drill press, chop saw)
  • Ability to operate a forklift and use lifting and rigging equipment
  • Knowledge of 5S methodology and lean lab practices
