Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.
Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, technically strong, and passionate individual to join our Avionics Systems team in Santa Cruz, CA, to support the development of the Avionics and Lighting System on the Joby S4. In this role, you will focus on the flight deck, including flight displays, communication and surveillance equipment, and aircraft lighting, all supporting the maturation of these systems from development through FAA type certification. You will develop and execute system-level test procedures in our Integrated Test Lab and in support of flight test, investigate and resolve issues found in test, and refine system requirements based on feedback from Human Factors, System Safety, Systems Engineering, and Flight Test. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where your work directly produces the evidence that certifies a first-of-its-kind aircraft.
