Company Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.

Overview

The Learning and Development team at Joby is looking for a 3-month contractor to build the operational foundation behind our learning programs. You'll bring order to our learning content, set up the systems that manage our vendors and requests, and handle the logistics for our 2027 leadership program launch. You'll also identify automation opportunities to minimize admin time. This is a hands-on role that combines process design with day-to-day coordination. The work touches teams and leaders across the business, so you'll get a real look at how Joby and Joby Learning operate. You'll own a lot of ambiguous work, and we'll prioritize the full scope together in your first weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, simplify, and refresh our learning content. Inventory learning content across platforms, identify duplication and gaps, and recommend a go-forward structure so Joby team members and leaders can find what they need just in time. This includes some content creation, SharePoint design work, and updating dated content along the way
  • Build the systems behind vendor management. Set up processes for vendor cycles, data, and license tracking, plus the admin infrastructure that supports them. Identify which tasks can be automated and partner with Analytics & Automation to automate them. Support basic membership communications and engagement nudges
  • Run logistics for the 2027 leadership program and learning events. Own scheduling, invites, tours, site visits, room logistics, LMS setup, and leader engagement coordination. Manage room bookings and calendar coordination for leadership sessions, and handle participant communications and reminders
  • Create a single front door for Joby Learning. Build one intake system for learning requests with visibility into request volume and type. Handle one-off curation requests and identify which parts can be templated or automated
  • Promote Joby Learning content. Drive the marketing and promotional efforts behind our learning content. Get creative about making it easy to find and reinforcing learning: TV screens, stickers, cards, QR codes on articles, and placement in lounges, common areas, SharePoint, and our weekly newsletter. Produce Figma-based assets and articles, and partner with our marketing and communications team (MarCom) as needed

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, human resources, education, organizational development, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in learning operations, program coordination, or a similar role supporting Learning & Development or People Team programs
  • Experience designing simple, repeatable processes or automated workflows
  • Experience managing or designing SharePoint sites and curating content
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Fluency with AI and automation, and the ability to spot what can be automated and build it or partner on it
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills. This role carries real logistics and coordination work
  • Comfort owning ambiguous, cross-functional work

Desired

  • Figma experience, or the ability to learn it quickly
  • Experience with vendor management, license tracking, or procurement processes
  • Experience building intake or request-management systems
  • Instructional design and content editing skills
  • Experience in a fast-growing or highly regulated company
