Working as a Structural Test Engineer, you will support the Testing Team. As part of this team you will perform structural testing of flight critical structures for VTOL electric aircraft. Working in our structural test lab facility, the structural test engineer will prepare test procedures, assemble test setups, execute tests and analyze and report test data.  The data collected during these tests will inform the company’s hardware design efforts and pave the way to safe, production-ready airframes.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Composite Material Cutting Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing material cutting operations to support production. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre-preg cutting, ply orientation and material handling, but not required. Additionally, proficiency in inventory tracking, understanding of cutting/ nesting software, and strong organization are necessary for this role.

Working as a Project Manager, you will be responsible for creating, updating and coordinating project schedules in support of setting up a new production operation. Creates resource usage models and predictions. Works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules for the production assembly line buildout.

The primary focus of this role will be to build up and maintain our code generation framework as well as our massive JSON database which contains the input to our code generators. Joby relies heavily on code generation within our software department which works by parsing JSON and then running it though our code generation tool which consists of C++, Docker and CMake to generate C++, RST Documentation and other output.

As the Early Operations Program Manager, you will be part of a small team working to develop and mature initial operating locations for Joby’s S4 eVTOL aircraft. In this role, you will work cross functionally to ensure that Joby can support South Korea’s Grand Challenge, a government-sponsored event designed to accelerate the adoption of urban air mobility to the country. As the Machine Shop Foreperson, this person will integrate within the Reactive Team Shops and work side by side with the Fabrication Shop and Waterjet Team. This role is responsible for assisting with scheduling, tracking, and planning for all machine shop jobs. They will also be responsible for equipment maintenance schedule and repair, as well as material and tool inventory, working under the direction of the Reactive Team Lead.

Joby Aviation is seeking a highly motivated Global Flight Safety Program Manager to join the Safety Team to ensure the safe conduct of demonstration and validation testing, often at international locations. This individual will possess a strong understanding of operational flight test, aircraft operations, methods of test, and risk management.   On a daily basis, they will work with the Flight Test  Team to promote, develop, provide input to, and provide oversight of Safety Management System related processes and programs. They must be able to investigate incidents and determine if corrective actions are required.  The Global Flight Safety Manager reports to the Head of Safety.
